End of the world - click here for team's web pageTierra del Fuego - click here for team's web page        The Patagonia is the name given to the southernmost part of Argentina including the provinces of Chubut, Santa Cruz, and Tierra del Fuego. Approximately 1600 miles long by 400 miles wide the area only has 7 established churches. Only 3% of the 600,000 people who live in the Patagonia are Christians, leaving nearly 580,000 without a personal relationship with Christ. Because of the long distances between the cities, as well as the distances from the rest of Argentina, most of the people in the Patagonia feel isolated and forgotten. This is even more evident on the island of Tierra del Fuego, the southernmost part of the country where there are three works.
God is at work in the lives of our team members bringing about a church planting movement for the Patagonia. The Patagonia Church Planting Team includes two IMB families, Dennis and Sherrie Meilstrup, and Grady and Claire Milstead. Eduardo and Graciela Márquez, Pedro and Noemi Boretsky, Héctor and Clelia Gallegos, and José Luís and Julia Toledo are the Argentine pastors and their wives who also serve on the team.

Dennis Meilstrup serves as Strategy Coordinator for the Patagonia Strategy Group.
